The
10-100 UTP Tap provide 24/7 monitoring access, at highest network
speed, without introducing a point of failure. It is easy to install and works in any IDS, Protocol or
other, half or full-duplex application.
The
“no package loss” and redundant power feature make it the ideal solution
for security applications. Transparent to the network, it shows
traffic in real-time at maximum network speed. It copies all 7
layers, any package size, bad CRC, VLAN traffic, etc.
It
has unique features like Link/Activity
LEDs and compliance with the 802.3af
(Power over Ethernet) standard. The permanent link feature guarantees
network connectivity, also when power fails.
The
unit has 4 RJ45 connectors, port A and B are connected to the
network, tap port A and B are connected to the analyzer. The
external power is applied to the back of the unit. All functions
are explained on the easy to understand face plate.
