User friendliness

The face plate of our Breakout Boxes are logically designed, "the state of the interface shows at a glance", in contrary to our competitors the breakout switches/access sockets and monitors are on the same height on the panel. 

Monitors: High Bright LEDs are mounted behind the front panel and do not shine, the LEDs show better in contrast with the black front panel. 

Ruggedness : While many others use  ribbon cables connecting directly into the unit, with risk wearing off on the edge, all our Breakout Boxes uses connectors and extension cables.
 

Features

GPD test is only found on our products, GPD can cause serious problems. If you are unfamiliar with GPD take a look at Tech.Tip # 4

Most BOBs show if the extreme low standard requirements are met (3V for V28, 200mV for V10/11). Only a Signal Strength test can show how secure your signal levels really are.

Current Loop is often used to extend the distance or for galvanic separation in RS232 communication, our RS232 Breakouts Boxes carry Current Loop test circuits.

Power : the Comtest 100DLX and H series use low power circuitry and function 20-50 hours on one single 9V battery, the Power LED on our products show real battery condition. Most other BOBs use several 9V batteries, the Power LED shows the condition of only one battery.
